A day on the ice

From December to May

Experience a day on a frozen lake with many activities and a fantastic view over the surrounding mountains.

You will be picked up at the hotel and equipped with warm clothing. Then we cross a small pass to the neighboring Rotsundalen, from where you will snowmobile on the Sikkajavri Lake.

There we will find a Lavvo(traditional Sami tent) that provides us with warmth and comfort.  We will have coffee / tea and cookies available and it is here that we will also eat our lunch.

Based out of the lavvo, we will snowshoe on the lake, bore a hole in the ice, and make ourselves comfortable on reindeer skins, because it may take a while until a fish bites.

Furthermore, everyone has the opportunity to drive the snowmobile - either by the sea or in the surrounding mountains.

It is also possible to end the day in the dark in order to have a chance to see the northern lights.
