Horse Sledding

November -  April

We will bring you by car to the starting point of the sledding trip just outside from Sørkjosen

The horses are Lyngshorses. These were formerly used on farms and in the forest until they were replaced by machines. This small unassuming and strong animals that can carry heavy loads through the rough norwegian mountains, fell almost into oblivion and there are only a few hundred alive.

After the horses are harnessed to the sleds, you can comfortably sit there and snuggle into the warm furs and blankets.
Enjoy the pleasant ride along the Reisafjord and the surrounding forests. Sitback and feel the fresh arctic air. Maybe you can see the northern lights above you…

After about half the distance we reach a warm Lavvo (traditional Sami tent) where coffee, tea and biscuits are served.

Number of guests: three guests per sledge

Equipment: Please bring warm and adapted clothing with you. Warm blankets and skins are available in the sled.
