Arctic Adventure Days

5 Days - 4 Nights - From: December to May

Snow-covered landscape, towering mountains, deep fjords and northern lights - a combination you can experience only in Northern Norway. Reisafjord and our hotel is located right in the middle of this magnificent landscape of sea, mountains, deep valleys and the unique Finnmarksvidda. We accompany you out into the wilderness with snowshoes, boat, snowmobile, reindeer and sleigh. You may admire the Northern Lights experience, ice fishing or deep sea fishing, the traditional life of the Sami, or watch wild animals (eagles, moose, and reindeer).  We guarantee an impressive and active holiday at the northern tip of Europe.

Program

Day 1/ Arrival:

You will usually fly to Tromsø to come to us. Depending on when you arrive in Tromsø, you can either take the connecting flight with a small propeller plane to Sørkjosen, where our hotel is located, or choose a boat (Hurtigruten) to Skjervøy.  From Skjervøy you have to take the bus to the hotel in Sørkjosen.

Day 2:

After a hearty breakfast buffet, we invite you to a presentation with information about the area and the possible activities. In the afternoon, we will together embark on a snowshoe tour. This will bring us to a small mountain outside of Sørkjosen, where we can enjoy a light lunch and tea / coffee.  The destination offers a magnificent view over the mountainous area and Reisafjord. You can enjoy the evening in our cozy hotel with a good meal (not included), in the fireplace room and by our hotel bar.

Day 3 and 4:

These days are completely at your disposal and you can participate in a chosen activity program if you wish. Take a horse-drawn carriage tour along the fjord, try your hand at ice fishing or snowmobiling, or explore the Reisafjord aboard a small boat and watch eagles, moose, reindeer and other native species.  After dark(until March), you can experience the Northern Lights Safari - our guide knows the best spots and will give you good tips for taking pictures.

Day 5 / Departure:

Generally, you will fly by plane from Sørkjosen to Tromsø, where you arrive around 09:00 and leave with your connecting flight towards home.

Note:

All transfers from Tromsø and all the activities available in Northern Norway are partly dependent on appropriate weather; therefore you should be prepared to be flexible during your trip.

Activities:
The various activities are presented on the day after your arrival. The activities must be paid on the spot (cash or card). All about the activity program you can find on our website.

Food:
The large breakfast buffet (Included) is between 07 and 10 clock (Saturday and Sunday: 08-11 clock) served. From 14 to 21, we open our restaurant, which offers a wide selection of typical local meals.

Arrival/Departure: We can help to book the flight from Tromsø to Sørkjosen, and the Hurtigruten from Skjervøy for return to Tromsø.   Please ask us.
